Feeding time
An Argiope aurantia spider, commonly know as the yellow garden spider, black and yellow garden spider, golden garden spider, writing spider, or corn spider feeds on a grasshopper from its web in a hazelnut tree in an orchard near Roseburg on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015. Considered non-aggressive, Argiope spider venom contains toxins which can cause a painful swelling similar to a bee sting.
Another spider hangs in its web as the sun sets on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015.
