I photographed the harvest of Pinot noir wine grapes in a small vineyard near Roseburg this morning. The light rain was actaully very pleasant and and gave the fruit a nice sparkle.
I've been working with the owner of the vineyard for over a year documenting the growth and now harvest from his grapes. I'll be going back in a few weeks to photograph the changing colors as fall arrives.
Though a difficult variety of grape to cultivate, Pinot noir grapes are widely considered to produce some of the finest wines in the world.
