Crossing over

A blacktail deer fawn crosses a country road near Oakland, Ore., on Thursday, July 8, 2010. The blacktail deer is common in northern California, western Oregon, Washington, in coastal and interior British Columbia, and north into the Alaskan panhandle. (Credit Image: © Robin Loznak)

I've been hunting for a fawn picture for the last few days. I shot this little guy last night. June is the best month for finding newborn fawns. They're starting to grow up now, which makes them frisky and weary of humans.
Check out for of my award winning nature pictures here. Framed prints are available.
