A wine glass filled with liquid soap explodes as it is impacted by a pellet during a demonstration of ballistic at a private shooting range near Roseburg, Ore., on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012. The weapon being used in the demonstration is capable of firing a pellet at about 725 feet per second. Last time I tried similar photos I used a .22 with hollow points. This time I slowed down the projectile and got a bit less blur. The camera is firing at 1/8000th of a second. |
