Slow going

A Pacific sideband snail makes its way slowly over a moss covered log on a hillside near Elkton in southwestern Oregon on Tuesday, Jan 31, 2017. Pacific sideband snails are one of the largest land snails found in North America. Snails are hermaphrodites. They are both male and female, that is, they have both male and female sex organs.

A lovely landscape

A small creek flows out of the Umpqua National Forest into the scenic North Umpqua River near Idleyld Park on Saturday, Jan 28, 2017. The Umpqua River is one of the main drainage systems of the Oregon coast and flows from the Cascade Mountains in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west.

Big waves in Oregon

Obama in Roseburg, Oregon, a love/hate relationship
