Roosevelt Elk

I found a small herd of Roosevelt elk feeding in a pasture near Tyee, Ore., this morning. They looked a bit rough around the edges after the long wet winter, but they are still amazing animals.

Early blossoms on the peach tree in our small orchard. This little tree produces large delicious fruit in the summer.

Cute and Hairy

A group of baby nutria cluster together for warmth near a pond in Roseburg on Wednesday. Some people think nutria are disgusting, but I think at least the babies are adorable. Check out more of my critter pictures at here.
