Mini mushrooms
A water droplet clings to a small mushroom growing in a cluster on a rotting log on a hillside near Elkton, Ore., on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014. |
My photography is represented by the international photo agency ZUMAPRESS.com. Today they used one of my mini mushroom photos in their Pictures of the Day gallery. |

Cheeky little birds
Photo made with Nikon D4 body, Nikon AF-S 600mm f/4 lens, and Nikon 1.7x teleconverter. It's an amazing setup. The lens is getting a old and it's very heavy, but it's still pretty sharp. |

Rattle and hiss
A large western rattlesnake makes her up an embankment along a dirt road near our home in southwestern Oregon on Friday, July 11, 2014. |
One of my dogs noticed the snake before I did. Nothing focuses my attention quite like a big rattlesnake. I counted twelve segments in its rattle. |
The snake was especially green. |
