Elk hunting in Oregon
Each year the state of Oregon provides two landowner tags to the ranch for the taking of cow elk. The Landowner Preference Program was established to acknowledge the contribution of private lands to support wildlife and provide a form of compensation to landowners for resources used by wildlife. Lily the border collie is not so sure she approves. |

From Russia with slime
It's my slug photo via ZUMAPRESS.com on a Russian news website. Headline translates to: "Eaten on the dispute slug killed an Australian after eight years". Super strange story. Here is a link to a story from the Independent in English. |

Emotional day at YouthvGov rally in Eugene
The YouthvGov Trial of the Century was scheduled to begin Monday, Oct. 29th, 2018 in Eugene, Oregon. The case had been scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 29, but the United States Supreme Court has temporally stayed the case. So instead of taking their case to Federal Court today, the plaintiffs, attorneys and staff of Our Children's Trust invited thousands of their supporters to a rally on the steps of the courthouse in Eugene. Around the country, and around the world, close to 70 similar support demonstrations were held.
