Young buck

A young black-tailed buck with his antlers still in velvet in a field near Elkton, Ore., on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012. 
I tried to get closer for another photo, but he stood up and ambled off. I followed him through the field for a little while and nearly stepped on a small fawn which jumped up and bounded off before I could get a photo.
