Western screech owl

A wild western screech owl appears to nap while looking out from a nest box mounted on a tree in a wooded area along a country road near Elkton, Ore., on Sunday, April 1, 2012. The box was intended for nesting wood ducks, but the screech owl has moved in and seems quite content.
