I discovered a family of black widow spiders living in the door frame of my photography studio in Roseburg yesterday. Of course I took care of them, but being a photographer I had to snap a few pictures.
Sorry if the spider freaked anyone out. I'm a bit nervous around black widows myself, but I also think they're amazingly beautiful.

Beautiful in a hair-raising way. When I captured a photo of a gigantic one a few years ago I did it while he was safely covered with a jar. You are braver than I, or maybe your lens is longer... =)
