Pacific Banana Slug

May 3, 2010 - Oakland, Ore., USA- A large Pacific banana slug slowly crosses a rural road near Oakland, Ore. The Pacific banana slug is the second-largest species of terrestrial slug in the world, growing up to 25 centimetres (9.8 in) long. (Credit Image: © Robin Loznak/robinloznak.com)

I spotted this slimy fellow on my way into Roseburg this morning. He was in a hurry, but I managed to snap a few pictures before he slid off the road. Check out more of my animal and nature pictures here. Limited edition prints are available.

Be sure to check out more of my award winning photography.
I also have prints of many of my animal and nature pictures available here.

  1. Love it! We moved to Oregon 3 years ago and wanted to know more about these giant slugs.
