A rescued barn owl owlet feeds on a mouse provided to it near Elkton in rural western Oregon on Monday, June 10, 2019. The owl was discovered emaciated and dehydrated on a road near its nest. The owlet will be fed for a few days and returned to the nest with its siblings.
