Water dog in her element

Cocoa the chocolate Labrador plays with a stick in the Umpqua River near Elkton in western Oregon on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018. Playing in the water is absolutely Cocoa's favorite thing in the world. She would rather frolic in the water than eat, and she really loves to eat.

At high tide, or during storms, the hole offers a dramatic view as water rushes through the gap. Researches believe the hole was formed when the roof of a sea cave collapsed.

The beauty of nature

Colorful fall leaves mark a large bald-faced hornet's nest hanging in a tree on a hillside near Elkton in rural western Oregon on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018. The great walnut thief

A Steller's jay makes off with a walnut from the roof of a shed under a tree on a farm near Roseburg in rural western Oregon on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018. Several of the birds were talking the nuts into nearby trees and using their strong beaks to break open and eat the walnuts from inside the shells.

The one that got away.
That's one happy looking bird.
