Being green

After the storm

A gusty windstorm downed a large maple tree on the back of our lovely house this evening on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. The main heavy trunk missed the house by inches and we apparently suffered very little damage. I'll be getting up on the roof in the morning to find out more.
The sky turned a vibrant orange after the storm passed.

Home sweet home

A family of what I think are Little Brown Bats are thriving in the bat box I built. The little creatures are insect eating machines.
The bats nap during the day and hunt for bugs in the evening.
